True Notebooks by Mark Salzman is a non- fictional book. Mark, a former college English teacher goes into juvenile hall to teach a class of boys that have committed big crimes. He ends up really close to the boys that he is teaching. Through their writing you learn how the boys feel about their mistakes.
I rate this book a 10 out of 10 because it was really good to read about how the boys felt about their crimes, their past, and their future. This book has inspired me to work in the juvenile system to help these types of boys.
